The Boston Book Festival (BBF) is a local nonprofit that aims to promote a vibrant culture of reading in the city of Boston. Their biggest event is their annual festival in Copley Square. Activities include participatory events for kids, keynote speeches, author sessions, stage performances, and a local vendor fair. This weekend event features more than 75 activities taking place in over 20 different venues. BBF needed a partner who could help them with a variety of event collateral needs across the scope of the festival.

Grossman Marketing Group is proud to partner with the BBF to help make this annual event a success. We begin creating promotional materials, like the popular “One City One Story” booklet and a series of bookmarks, posters, and cards, which get distributed through the local library networks and on public transportation. As we get closer to the event kickoff, the pace quickens as we start production of the various materials needed for the festival itself, from banners and signage, to program guides and handouts, to marketing swag like t-shirts, drinkware, pens, and more.
When we work with BBF, as with all of our event clients, we take an approach of “living the event,” which shows them we totally understand the importance of what we’re doing, that we have their back, and that nothing is too much trouble. We also “live the brand,” and are proactive about ensuring that branding is consistent across everything we do.
the results
We’ve been working with the BBF since their inaugural event eleven years ago. Over that time, we’ve helped them with all of their needs, including three big rebranding initiatives. We’ve made planning their events easier by always giving the BBF a single point of contact across all of the collateral work. They feel confident working with a support team that fully understands the importance of their flagship city event, and who will work around the clock to make deliverables happen, on time, on budget, and with a level of quality that will help make them shine.
